A structured candidate record is easier to read when each field can be checked against the source. That is the purpose of extraction. It is not a guarantee that every field is right or that a missing detail can be recovered.

What Deelbert asks the model to extract

Deelbert's extraction schema covers information such as names, contact details, location, skills, experience, education and languages. It also has fields for explicitly stated work preferences, availability and notice. An absent notice period is meant to remain empty.

Those are instructions to a model, not measured accuracy claims. Compare the result with the CV or profile, especially when the text is incomplete, scanned poorly or uses an ambiguous abbreviation.

A review you can repeat

  1. Check the identity and contact details.
  2. Compare the employment history with the original dates and descriptions.
  3. Check whether a listed technology is experience, a course or merely a mention.
  4. Verify that language ability was actually stated.
  5. Remove any unsupported availability or notice statement.
  6. Ask the candidate about gaps that matter to the role.

Keep the review proportional to what you will do with the record. A field used in a client brief deserves confirmation before the brief leaves your desk.

A blank field can be useful

If a profile says nothing about availability, there is no source statement to copy. Leaving it blank makes the next question visible. A plausible guess can hide that question instead.

This is also why a title alone is not enough to confirm seniority or a preferred work arrangement. Read the responsibilities and ask when the evidence is incomplete.

A second opinion on the job

Deelbert can help organise the strengths and gaps between a candidate's information and a job description. Use that as a second opinion alongside your reading and conversation. The recruiter makes the decision. Treat a claim about a strength as something to verify, not as a reason to skip the underlying evidence.

Information changes

A correct statement can become outdated. Confirm availability and expectations again when preparing an offer. Keep useful context in your notes; this guide does not promise a clickable source citation for every field in the product.

Try it with a source you can inspect

Capture a profile you are viewing with the extension, or import a supported CV, then compare the candidate record with the original. Read how to clarify rates, how to confirm notice, and the plan details.
